Jack Petchey Foundation awards
We partner with the Jack Petchey Foundation Award Scheme, which provides awards to young people aged 11-25 at Greenwich Music School who have shown outstanding personal achievement.
What are the awards for?
• Greenwich Music School makes six awards a year, for outstanding personal achievement.
• Winners must be a GMS student aged 11-25, and might have shown exceptional effort, overcome a personal challenge, have broken through a personal barrier, helped others, or been a good role model or mentor.
• Each winner chooses how to spend £300 on something that will benefit themselves and their peers at Greenwich Music School - for example resources or instruments, a workshop, masterclass or visit.
How are young people nominated?
- Young people can be nominated by teachers through the reviews and reports system
- Nominations can also be made at any point during the year by teachers and by other young people, or anyone else in the wider Greenwich Music School community, through our nomination form.
Nominations may be made at any point during the year, and will be considered for the awards each term.
