Why are there a different number of lessons each month?
This article explains why the number of lessons in a month can vary and how fees are structured across the year.
Lessons at Greenwich Music School are part of an annual programme rather than being charged month by month.
Because lessons follow school term dates, and because the calendar falls slightly differently each month (for example some months have five Mondays while others have four), the number of lessons in a calendar month can vary.
Instead of changing the fee each month, the total annual cost is spread evenly across 11 monthly payments, so the monthly amount stays the same even though the number of lessons in a particular month may differ.
Over the course of the year, students receive the full number of lessons included in their programme (30 lessons for school-based or group courses, and 38 lessons for one-to-one lessons outside school).
